What is Fairytales?

While reading stories online, I came across one book with an interesting title. After a look inside on Amazon.com, I've found a very interesting paragraph on "What is Fairy tale?" So, I decided to put this on my Blog just to keep the beautiful writing (to me) for myself and share it to whoever got to visit my Blog!

Have a great day!!

From the introduction of Cinderella Stories around the World.

What is Fairy Tale?

Once upon a time, before the age of books. People gathered to tell stories. They told tales of fairies and magic, princes and witches. Ideas of love, jealousy, kindness and luck filled the stories. Some provided lessons. Others just entertained. Most did both! These fairy tales passed from neighbor to neighbor, village to village, land to land. As the stories spun across seas and over mountains. Details changed to fit each culture. A poisoned slipper became a poisoned ring. A King became a sultan. A wolf became a tiger.

Over time, fairy tales were collected and written down. Around the world today, people of all ages love to read or hear these timeless stories. For many years to come, fairy tales will will continue to live happily ever after in our imaginations.

Update : New book out & custom order!

It's been a while since my last updates! So, today is an update on what's been going on with me :)

First of all, I'm super duper excited that my new book has just been published! Yayyy!! And what makes me so proud of this book is that I've actually written it myself! It's my first time having a book that I've both written and illustrate out in the market!

Here are some photos of the book ^_^

Me with my New Book at the Book Fair :)

This book is all about the happiness in giving, not only receiving. So, I really hope that this story will planted in the heart of any little child who gets to read/listen to this book and grow up being a kind person who're willing to give out to others.

Making this book has been very challenging for me, but the result has made me so happy. So, I'm really hope I could make more of my own handmade books for my shop in the future!

Anyway, another update is that I had a new experience in creating a custom order for my customer who's such a sweet person! I got this opportunity in creating an illustration for a little girl who's about to be born in a few months. This opportunity has allow me to feel and see the love of a mother to her child and tells me what's the value of illustrating and painting. Being able to show love through them is amazing! Hopefully, I'll get to see her photos together with my painting soon :)

Paper doll - Little Red Riding Hood!

Who doesn't like Paper dolls?!? Well... not everyone like paper dolls. But I do! It's one of my favourite toy when I was a little girl, and today I've combine it with Children's book!

One day, I was walking in a mall and saw a shop selling Paper dolls just like the ones I've played years and years ago, and the thoughts just came to my head.. Maybe it'll be nice if the book illustrations can come out of the book and walk around, and all the thoughts came to this!

This project actually took a lot of time. I need to make sure that it really works before adding to my shop, but it was really fun to make as well.

Testing if the characters and the clothes are matching

The Wolf has taken Grandma's clothes!!!

Since this is the PDF Printable, the good thing is customers don't have to wait or pay for the shipping, but they would have to download, print and cut by themselves. So, I try to make it as easy as possible for them by creating this "How to" video.

Oh, and if you're interested in this product, you can click here :)

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a magical day! ;-)

A look back at 2014!!

H A P P Y   N E W   Y E A R!

I hope you had a great year of 2014 and ready to welcome 2015 with joy! I'm sure many things had happened to everyone in a different ways in the year of 2014, and when we look back to it the bad things that happened wouldn't look as bad as when we were experiencing them.

So, I hope that in 2015, when bad things happen, we can remind ourselves that it'll be just another lesson for us when we look back to 2015 and will help us improve the next year if we learn to learn from them.

I'm currently enjoying "Peaks and Valleys" by Spencer Johnson, and I've learned that "You can have a fewer bad times when you appreciate and manage your good time wisely". So I think on the other hand, if you manage your bad time wisely, you can avoid having those bad times again which resulting in having fewer bad times as well!

Anyway, let's start the year of 2015 by taking a look back at 2014.
